HLC and Confidentiality Coalition letter to CMS in response to the Interoperability Standards and Prior Authorization for Drugs Proposed Rule

HLC supports CMS’s plan to speed up electronic prior authorization for drugs, but asks for at least a 24 hour rollout and for decision clocks to start only once a request is complete. It also gives recommendations on cybersecurity, such as simpler breach reporting and more support for small and rural providers.
