HLC urged Congress to preserve incentives for continued biopharmaceutical innovation while pursuing solutions that improve affordability for beneficiaries. The letter raised concerns about proposals to expand Medicare drug price negotiation and impose additional pricing controls, while supporting efforts to strengthen Medicare Part D market stability, expand access to Low-Income Subsidy benefits, and improve uptake of existing affordability programs.
